Overview:
FTE: 1.0 Variable Shift Days - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Provides financial counseling to inpatients, their guarantors, and selected outpatient groups by collecting and analyzing socioeconomic and insurance information, establishing or verifying medical record numbers, completing patient registration and financial screening, verifying third-party coverage, obtaining precertification's for multiple billing entities, collecting deposits and co-pays, facilitating credit applications and sponsorship referrals, securing required documentation and signatures, coordinating financial matters with internal and external departments, and referring non-financial patient concerns to the appropriate department or agency as needed.
