This position is for Sr. Academic Advisor I for the Mechanical Engineering department in the College of Engineering. This position advises students concerning their academic plans and progress, academic schedule, choice of major, and other academic activities and career goals, to assist the student in making decisions concerning personal educational goals leading to graduation. This position requires the knowledge and ability to coordinate and run retention support programs for students. This position may also support upper level students within the College of Engineering. Minimum Qualifications This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling or academic field directly related to the Advisor's specific responsibilities and six years of academic advising experience; or a Master's degree in those same fields with a minimum of five years of academic advising experience within higher education.
