The Carrier Settlement Specialist I works closely with brokerage and TMS operations groups, capacity management, and carriers to ensure timely and accurate payment processing. They will also be responsible for working the initial open payable items with carriers including payment discrepancies or other inquires. They will work with leads and managers on specific tasks that are assigned. Responsibilities Ensure timely (within 3 days of support being received) and precise processing of carrier settlements, including review of shipping documents, tolerance assessments, and tariff evaluations. Examine carrier invoices to aid in the resolution of payment discrepancies. Timely and accurate processing of carrier QuickPay requests. Conduct follow-ups on outstanding items, including payment inquiries with carriers.
