13-week contract
$60/hr for 40 hrs/wk
As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll assess clients’ needs and deliver practical, evidence-based care across relevant settings. You’ll develop treatment plans, implement occupational therapy programs, and support people in building skills for daily life, learning, and recovery. Your impact: By coordinating care and discharge planning, you help clients and their families move toward safe, meaningful participation at home, school, and in the community.
*Duties*
* Conduct occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized care plans and treatment plans.
* Provide patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), physical rehabilitation, and pediatric occupational therapy when appropriate.
* Coordinate case management, discharge planning, and clinical interprofessional collaboration; communicate with clients, families, and care teams.
* Document assessments, progress, and care in electronic health records (EHR), maintaining accurate medical and clinical documentation.
* Adapt services to the setting, which may include acute care, intensive care units (ICUs), inpatient, post-acute care, skilled nursing facilities, home health, outpatient clinics, schools, early intervention, occupational health, or geriatrics.
*Requirements*
* Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, with the ability to apply evidence-based practice.
* Relevant occupational therapy experience; experience in acute care, ICU, inpatient, post-acute, skilled nursing, home health, outpatient, clinic, school, early intervention, occupational health, geriatrics, or pediatrics is valued.
* Experience supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, or students with disabilities and special education needs is valued.
* Strong client communication, medical documentation, EHR management, and collaboration skills; familiarity with speech therapy coordination is an asset.
Pay: $60.00 per hour
