Job Description
*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated, skilled and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our periodontal practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to promoting oral health. This role involves working closely with patients, to provide exceptional periodontal services in a friendly and professional environment. The most up-to-date technology is available to elevate our patients' care including digital radiographs, CBCT and cloud-based dental software (remote access).
*Responsibilities*
* Thorough periodontal cleanings using ultrasonic or cavitron, hand instrumentation & air polishing.
* Candidate must be able to deliver local anesthetic & perform scaling and root planing. Patients are often sedated during these procedures.
* Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on assessments during periodic and comprehensive exams
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
* Maintain accurate patient records using dental software
* Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
* Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
*Experience*
* A valid Dental Hygienist license is required.
* Experience in a busy general dentistry or periodontal setting is highly desirable.
* Experience in periodontal charting, local anesthetic and SRPs
* Proficiency with paperless chart notes.
* Knowledge of infection control standards and patient care best practices is essential.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients are crucial for success in this role.
