Job Description
_The Community Dental Clinic is seeking an experienced Dental Hygienist to join our team! _
_The Community Dental Clinic (CDC) is a __*nonprofit dental office*_ _specializing in high-quality, affordable, and compassionate dental treatment consistent with Plain community values, while providing clinical dental services to all individuals, regardless of religion, race, or age. The CDC is __*20 minutes from Goshen*_ _and __*35 minutes from Kendallville*__. _
_This position includes __*full time pay*_ _and __*benefits*_ _with a four day work week (Monday - Thursday)! We would also consider a part time position for the right candidate. We are dedicated to providing our patients with the highest level of care and the Dental Hygienist plays a key role. The ideal candidate is dependable, energetic, self-motivated, compassionate, and an organized team player. Knowledge of Dentrix is a plus, but not required. *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities*
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
* General knowledge of the principles and skills needed to provide patient care and treatment
* Knowledge of patient education principles
* Ability to anticipate and react calmly to emergency situations
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
* Ability to perform proper infection control
* Strong organization skills
* Ability to work as contributing member of the clinical team
* Skillful at providing dental hygiene preventive care
*Experience: *
* Dental Hygiene: 2 years (Preferred)
* Dentrix: 1 year (Preferred)
*License/Certification: *
* Current state license in Dental Hygiene
* Certification from an accredited dental hygiene school
* CPR
