Job Description
Position Purpose:
The Assistant Men's and Women’s Diving Coach is responsible for aiding the Head Swimming and Diving Coach in the execution of practices and meet day instruction/coaching. This hands-on position provides direct support for an increasingly diverse Bates College community utilizing excellent customer service skills. This is a professional assistant coaching position and all of the duties of the position must be conducted in adherence with the policies, rules, and regulations of affiliated national, regional, and state intercollegiate athletic associations, the NESCAC Conference and the College.
Job Duties:
- Coach student-athletes at the direction of the head coach.
- Assure equity, inclusion, access, and anti-racism as central to their work and the delivery of services to students, faculty, and staff.
- Supervise Bates student-athletes during practices, meets, scrimmages, and other times as advised by the head coach.
- Participate in team meetings related to coaching and recruiting.
- Travel as needed in relation to student coaching.
