(PROVIDING IN-PERSON SERVICES IN OUR VANCOUVER, WA - SALMON CREEK LOCATION)

Catholic Community Services, Family Behavioral Health is looking for a Board Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist or Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team of innovators who explore and develop new approaches and implement novel strategies. Our teams provide individualized, creative and flexible services, infused with evidence-based and evidence-informed strategies.

*WHAT WE OFFER: *

* Part-time employment (3+ days per week).

*JOB SUMMARY:*

* Conducts psychiatric assessment of Consumers, including both children and parents/guardians who are being served by the program.
* Participates in regular intervention reviews and ongoing treatment planning for all consumers.
* Meets regularly and as needed with consumers for medication monitoring/management; consults with families as appropriate.
* Provides regular psychiatric/medical consultation and direction to clinical staff.
* Evaluates medication needs, prescribes, and supervises ongoing medication needs for all assigned clients.
* Participates in community collaborations and planning efforts.
* Consults regularly with leadership around service needs.
* Completes all paperwork and record keeping required of position.
* Provides after-hours, on-call consultation via phone, as needed.
* Psychiatrist provides consultation with PMHNP staff on complex cases or when requested.
* Other duties may be included.

*WHAT WE ARE SEEKING IN A CANDIDATE:*

* Psychiatrist should be: licensed to practice medicine in Washington State; license and DEA certificate in good standing; ability to meet necessary privileging and credentialing criteria (JCAHO and NCQA). Board Certified as Adolescent Psychiatrist (or BE certification).
* Nurse Practitioner should be: Certified Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and licensed to practice in Washington State; license and DEA certificate in good standing; ability to meet necessary privileging and credentialing criteria (JCAHO and NCQA).
* Two years’ experience working with children and families in a clinical setting with strong knowledge of child and adolescent development and family involvement.
* Demonstrated competence in assessment, diagnosis, medication evaluation and current, sound prescriptive practices for seriously mentally ill children.
* Commitment to strengths-based, family-centered, and individually-tailored clinical approaches.
* Ability to understand and work with multiple client-serving systems (mental health, child welfare, education, juvenile justice/courts, public health, social services).
* Commitment to working collaboratively with staff of diverse backgrounds, training, and experience and to promoting teamwork in a multi-disciplinary environment.
* Must successfully pass required background clearances, prior to employment offer.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
* Demonstrated commitment to a workplace which embraces diversity and social justice and equity.
* Demonstrated ability and willingness to consult with staff.
* Demonstrates the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally responsive services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations.
