*Job Overview*
The Cardiac Rehabilitation Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers direct patient care to cardiac rehabilitation participants through the development and implementation of individualized plans of care focused on cardiac risk factor modification, exercise therapy, patient education, and recovery support. The RN collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary team members to promote safe, effective, and evidence-based cardiac rehabilitation services
*Days/Hours: *Full-Time Monday - Friday 40 hours per week
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized cardiac rehabilitation plans.
* Monitor and supervise cardiac rehab exercise sessions.
* Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes or emergencies.
* Provide education on heart-healthy lifestyle changes, medications, and risk reduction.
* Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate care with providers and the interdisciplinary team.
* Participate in program quality improvement and regulatory compliance activities.
*Requirements*
* Current, unrestricted Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license.
* Minimum *2 years of RN experience required; 3+ years strongly preferred*.
* Minimum *2 years of Cardiac Rehabilitation and Stress Testing experience required; 3+ years strongly preferred*.
* Current BLS and ACLS certification, or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
* Experience with EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring.
* APIC Infection Prevention certification preferred or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire.
* Strong communication, critical thinking, organizational, and patient education skills.
