Job Description
*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Assistant/Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting Route Drivers delivering goods to various locations while ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism. Will be responsible for filling in on vacations and other absences. Will operate a tractor/trailer and will be required to perform heavy lifting, moving, and loading/unloading of products including kegs and product of 100+ lbs regularly.
*Responsibilities*
* Safely operate a tractor/trailer to deliver goods along designated routes.
* Load and unload products at various delivery sites, ensuring accuracy and care in handling items.
* Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing routine checks to ensure safety standards are met.
* Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries.
* Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
* Complete necessary paperwork for deliveries.
* Communicate effectively with supervisor regarding any issues or delays encountered during the route.
*Qualifications*
* Previous experience as a delivery driver or in route driving is preferred but not necessary.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and must be able to obtain a Class A CDL.
* Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
* Must be physically fit to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate delivery documentation.

Schedule
* Tuesday through Friday (3-day weekends!)
* Early morning start times required
