*Oasis Medical and Surgical Wellness Group *is seeking a *Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) *to join our busy multidisciplinary practice in our East Orange, New Jersey office.
Our practice offers a collaborative approach to patient care, providing medical services, pain management, orthopedic surgery, spine surgery, chiropractic care, and physical therapy.
We are looking for a dependable, motivated, and patient focused PTA who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to providing quality care to our patients.
*Responsibilities*
· Provide physical therapy treatments to patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
· Carry out established treatment plans designed to improve mobility and function, decrease pain and symptoms, and help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
· Provide therapeutic treatments including therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, and other appropriate interventions.
· Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment to the supervising Physical Therapist.
· Educate and encourage patients throughout their treatment and rehabilitation.
· Assist patients with exercises, mobility, proper use of equipment, and home exercise programs as directed by the Physical Therapist.
· Accurately and timely document patient treatments and progress in the electronic health record.
· Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, chiropractors, and other members of our multidisciplinary healthcare team.
· Maintain a safe, organized, and professional treatment environment.
· Maintain all required professional licenses and certifications.
· Follow company policies, procedures, and applicable patient care and safety standards.
*Qualifications*
· Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
· Current New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant license required.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary medical environment.
· Dependable, professional, and committed to providing excellent patient care.
· Strong organizational and documentation skills.
· Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
