The Barracudas Swim Team is seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and athlete-focused Assistant Swim Coaches to support our growing competitive program. As a dual-chartered USA Swimming and YMCA team, we provide athletes with diverse competitive opportunities while emphasizing skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love of racing.
With nearly 300 swimmers training across six locations and competing as one unified team, the Barracudas offer a rewarding coaching environment where you can make a meaningful impact on athletes of all ages and ability levels.

- Everett
- Mukilteo
- Mill Creek
- Stanwood-Camano
- Monroe
- Marysville
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with coaching swimmers during daily practices.
- Support the implementation of training plans and athlete development goals.
- Teach and reinforce proper stroke technique, starts, turns, and race skills.
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and team-oriented training environment.
- Attend swim meets to provide coaching support, warm-up supervision, and athlete guidance.
- Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and fellow coaching staff.
- Help maintain a safe and engaging practice environment.
Qualifications
- Competitive swimming and/or swim coaching experience preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with swimmers of varying ages and skill levels.
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
- Availability for assigned practices and occasional weekend swim meets.

We are looking for coaches who are passionate about developing athletes, building confidence, and helping swimmers reach their full potential both in and out of the water.
Compensation
$20-$33 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Multiple positions available. Part-time opportunities with flexible placement based on location and program needs.
