Job Description

Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Hospital seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to provide evidence-based inpatient rehab for patients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, complex orthopedic and neurological conditions, and other serious illnesses. In our patient-centered, team-driven environment, you'll collaborate with PT, OT, speech, nursing, and physicians to complete evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, deliver therapeutic interventions, educate patients and families, and support safe discharge planning while advancing your clinical skills with leading rehab technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive PT evaluations for complex neurologic and orthopedic patients
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, and functional mobility interventions
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on care plans and discharge goals
  • Educate patients and families on safety, mobility, and home programs
  • Document assessments, goals, and progress in the medical record accurately and timely
  • Participate in team conferences and contribute to discharge planning
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment and follow hospital and safety protocols
  • Use rehab technologies and modalities to optimize functional outcomes
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives
