Norwin Aqua Club (NAC) is looking to add multiple part-time Assistant Swim Coaches to our coaching staff for the 2026–27 season.

NAC is a competitive swim club serving swimmers from approximately age 6 through high school. We are looking for energetic, dependable people who love swimming, enjoy working with young athletes, and want to be part of a positive, team-oriented program.

Former competitive swimmers are strongly encouraged to apply. Prior coaching experience is a plus, but it is not required for the right candidate.

The Opportunity

Assistant Coaches work alongside NAC’s coaching staff to help lead practices, teach proper stroke technique, develop racing skills, motivate swimmers, and create an environment where athletes can improve while enjoying the sport.

This is a great opportunity for a former high school or college swimmer, current college student, teacher, swim instructor, lifeguard, or experienced coach looking for a flexible part-time role.

Schedule

• Primarily weekday evening practices during the school year
• Opportunities to coach 2 or more evenings per week
• Some weekend swim meets throughout the season
• Morning and evening opportunities may also be available during the summer
• Additional hours may be available based on interest and team needs

We are happy to work around school, work, and other reasonable scheduling commitments.

What We’re Looking For

The right person will:

• Have a background in competitive swimming and/or swim coaching
• Enjoy working with swimmers of different ages and ability levels
• Bring energy, patience, positivity, and reliability to the pool deck
• Communicate well with swimmers, families, and fellow coaches
• Be willing to learn and work within NAC’s coaching philosophy
• Be able to complete required USA Swimming certifications and background clearances

Current USA Swimming certifications are not required to apply. NAC can help the right candidate through the certification process.

Compensation

Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications.

Norwin Aqua Club is a community-based competitive swim program in North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, serving Norwin and surrounding communities. Our goal is to develop strong swimmers while building confidence, sportsmanship, teamwork, and a lifelong connection to the sport.

We are building something special at NAC and are looking for coaches who want to be part of its continued growth.
