Job Description
Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking an experienced RN Charge for our Cardiac Cath Lab. In this leadership role, you will coordinate daily operations, guide a multidisciplinary team, and deliver high-acuity cardiac care in a fast-paced procedural environment. Responsibilities include circulating and monitoring during diagnostic and interventional catheterization, managing hemodynamics, administering medications and sedation, and ensuring safe, efficient patient flow. You'll support quality initiatives, staff education, and a culture of collaboration, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and patient flow in the cardiac cath lab as charge RNPerform and assist with cardiac catheterizations, interventions, and related procedures
- Continuously monitor patients' hemodynamic status and respond to changes promptly
- Administer medications, sedation, and contrast agents per protocols and provider orders
- Coordinate and lead the cath lab nursing team, including assignments and break coverage
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and post-procedure care
- Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and ancillary staff for optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Support quality improvement, staff education, and adoption of best practices in the lab
