Ridgefield Aquatic Club (RAC) is a private, nonprofit, year-round USA Swimming club in Ridgefield, Connecticut. RAC serves swimmers from pre-competitive development through national-level training. Our coaching approach emphasizes long-term athlete development, technical excellence, character, confidence, inclusion and a positive team experience.

Job Description
RAC is seeking an experienced and collaborative Full-Time Assistant Coach who brings energy, technical knowledge, sound judgment and a genuine commitment to athlete development.

The coach will lead assigned competitive and/or pre-competitive squads, develop seasonal and daily training plans, teach stroke technique and racing skills, attend practices and meets, assist with meet entries and relays, track athlete progress and communicate professionally with swimmers and families.

The position works closely with the Head Coach/CEO and squad leads to maintain consistent expectations and athlete development across all RAC squads. The coach must follow USA Swimming Safe Sport requirements, MAAPP, RAC policies and all applicable athlete-protection standards.

Applicants should have prior competitive swimming coaching experience, strong organizational and communication skills and availability for afternoons, evenings, weekends, championship meets and occasional travel. USA Swimming coach membership and required safety certifications must be completed before athlete contact.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual base salary: $49,000–$55,000
  • Performance-bonus eligibility of up to $5,000
  • $5,250 annual health-insurance stipend
  • $1,200 annual phone allowance
  • $1,000 annual retirement contribution
  • 14 paid vacation days
  • Approved expense reimbursement
