RN or LPN – Med/Surg (Day Shift)

Days and Shifts:

• Works three 12-hour shifts per week from 6 AM – 6:30 PM
• Weekend rotation schedule: Works every 6TH Saturday and Sunday from 6 AM – 6:30 PM
• On-call rotation schedule: One call shift per pay period, varied days

Description:

• Under limited supervision, plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in one unit on a particular shift, including functioning in Charge Nurse role
• Responsible for orientation, training, and management of personnel
• Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care
• Maintains satisfactory relations with other departments
• Participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills.
