(MCCN) is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing comprehensive, high-quality, and culturally competent healthcare to underserved communities throughout Los Angeles County. MCCN delivers care through a patient-centered medical home model and is committed to its mission of providing, advocating for, and modeling quality healthcare and social services for uninsured and low-income families.
As MCCN continues to expand specialty care services, we are seeking a compassionate, mission-driven *Cardiologist (MD/DO) *to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to build and grow a cardiology program within a well-established community health organization while making a meaningful impact on the health of underserved populations.
This position will support our North Hills and Sepulveda clinic locations and may be structured as either Part-Time or Full-Time to expand MCCN's specialty care services.
*RESPONSIBILITIES*, include but are not limited to:
* Provide comprehensive outpatient cardiovascular care in accordance with evidence-based cardiology guidelines and standards of practice.
* Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions including coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, and hyperlipidemia.
* Obtain medical histories, perform cardiovascular examinations, and develop individualized treatment plans.
* Interpret and review diagnostic studies including EKGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, Holter monitors, and other cardiovascular testing.
* Manage and optimize cardiovascular medications and treatment regimens.
* Collaborate closely with Primary Care Providers and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
* Identify patients requiring advanced cardiac diagnostics, interventional procedures, electrophysiology services, or surgical consultation and facilitate appropriate referrals.
* Educate patients regarding cardiovascular risk factors, disease prevention, smoking cessation, medication adherence, nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle modifications.
* Maintain complete and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
* Adhere to Quality Improvement guidelines and participate in MCCN Quality Improvement programs and initiatives.
* Provide clinical consultation and support to Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and clinical staff as assigned.
* Participate in Provider Meetings, Quality Improvement Meetings, and specialty care development initiatives.
* Assist with the development and implementation of cardiology clinical protocols and workflows as needed.
* Serve as a preceptor instructor to Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or medical students assigned.
* Attend conferences and seminars when requested and comply with continuing medical education requirements.
* Provide educational trainings to providers and clinic staff on cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, and management.
* Meet productivity expectations of approximately 20–22 patients per day while maintaining exceptional quality of care and patient satisfaction.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
* MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
* Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program.
* Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
* Current California Medical License and DEA registration.
* Current BLS certification.
* Minimum one year of outpatient cardiology experience preferred.
* Experience working in community health centers, FQHCs, or medically underserved settings preferred.
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
* Ability to work across MCCN clinic locations as needed.

* Strong foundation in outpatient cardiology and cardiovascular disease management.
* Ability to interpret cardiovascular diagnostic studies and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
* Knowledge of preventive cardiology and chronic disease management.
* Understanding of FQHC operations and community health practices preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
* Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse and underserved populations.
* Strong organizational, clinical documentation, and time-management skills.
* Ability to remain calm, objective, and effective in fast-paced clinical environments.
