*Location: *Salt Lake City, UT

*Hours/Schedule: *Monday - Friday (12 hr Rotating shift|6:30PM-6:30AM)

*Contract Length:* 1 year with the possibility of extension (May convert to full-time)

*Job Overview*

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented _Material Handler _specializing in medical devices to join our dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive warehouse experience, including the operation of heavy equipment and inventory management systems. This role is vital to ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate handling of medical device materials throughout the supply chain. The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety protocols, precision in order picking, and proficiency with warehouse technology to support our commitment to quality and compliance.

*Duties*

* Safely load, unload, and transport medical device materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
* Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately track inventory levels, process shipments, and update stock records.
* Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping with precision, ensuring all materials meet quality standards and customer specifications.
* Manage inventory control by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies promptly.
* Assist in maintaining a clean, organized warehouse environment that complies with safety regulations and best practices for materials handling.
* Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve overall warehouse operations.
* Load and unload incoming shipments efficiently while verifying contents against shipping documentation.
* Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and mechanical knowledge of material handling equipment operation for safe execution of duties.

*Requirements*

* At least 1 year of proven experience in warehouse distribution, preferably within the medical device or healthcare industry.
* Demonstrated proficiency with order picker equipment, forklift operation, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks required.
* Strong understanding of inventory management systems and shipping & receiving procedures.
* Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and measurements.
* Knowledge of OSHA safety protocols related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use.
* Mechanical aptitude or construction experience is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.
* Experience with manual handling techniques and heavy lifting to ensure safe material movement.
* Excellent attention to detail combined with organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
* Effective communication skills necessary for teamwork within a fast-paced environment.
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
