WORK HOURS: PRN (as needed) Rotating Shifts
DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS:

HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required
• Graduate of an AMA approved / accredited Ultrasound Program preferred
• Associate degree preferred
• 2 Year experience in a hospital setting preferred
• BCLS—Basic Cardiac Life Support—prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
• ARRT—American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography—with one additional modality required upon hire OR
• ARDMS—American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers—with 2 additional modality certifications Upon Hire Required AND
• Other RVT or VT(RVS) as one modality if performing vascular sonography Upon Hire Req
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing:
• Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to and during exam.
• Images correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols.
• Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
• Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, suggest Differential diagnosis.
• Utilizes proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS.
• Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.

The hospital continues to grow and visiting campus today you will find a Women's Imaging and Breast Center, a bariatric clinic, an ambulatory surgery center and a variety of physician practices all dedicated to our evolving community health needs. You will see that our long awaited expansion is well underway! This expansion, focused on a healthy future in this high growth area of North Texas, will double the size of our hospital adding more patient beds, a Level 2 NICU, Cardiac Cath Lab and expanding other departments including Labor & Delivery, OR and the emergency room.
