Manufacturing Support – Utility (Entry Level) Up to $20.11/hr in 6 months - No Weekends

Fort Wayne, IN (Ardmore Ave)

1st shift: 7:50 am - 4:20 pm

Start: $17.09/hr - $20.11/hr within ~6 months

What you’ll do

  • Keep all work areas cleaned and organized.
  • May support in filling/cleaning large diameter DFT tubes and handling large diameter coils.
  • Collect and distribute scrap, recyclables, shop towels, supplies, and mail.
  • Keep all supplies stocked and filled for all production needs and monitor inventory.
  • Support production by pulling dies, gathering materials for transfer to inspection, assist scheduling, sort spools, and drill holes in spools.
  • May complete intrabuilding mail delivery and make a delivery or pickup from nearby vendors.
  • Depending on specific assigned position, may serve as backup to the Material Transfer Specialist.
  • Follow all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in activities that drive continuous improvement in the EHS&S process and procedures including prevention.
  • May be assigned seasonal outdoor duties.

What we’re looking for

  • Must possess, or be able to obtain through training, a forklift operator certificate or license.
  • Must have valid driver’s license. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Understand and apply safe work practices.

Work Environment

  • Lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Pushing/Pulling Requirements: 1 lbs. to 500 lbs.
  • May be required to perform work above shoulder height
  • Frequent bending, twisting, lifting, and squatting
  • Must be able to access all areas of operation
  • Standing/walking most of the shift
  • Visual Acuity
