JOB SUMMARY
The Intern - Radiology at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for assisting patient care tasks under the direct supervision of a Registered Staff Technician/Sonographer. This includes performing treatment parameters, performing daily treatments, and assisting in procedures as requested or required. The intern will be actively engaged in patient interactions, ensuring high-quality care, and contributing to the treatment of patients.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs high quality/cost-effective diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a Registered Staff Tech or Registered Sonographer.
- Assists Physicians and medical staff during procedures as requested/required.
- Provides excellent customer service in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Communicates effectively with patients, family members, Physicians, other medical staff, and NMMC staff members.
- Attends required in-services, annual review, and educational programs.
- Knowledgeable of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment used in Radiological examinations.
- Stays abreast of changes in Radiology.
- Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines.
- Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues.
- All other duties as assigned.
