Job Description
*Overview*
We are a private practice seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatrician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring their health and well-being through expert diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment with access to advanced medical technologies and interdisciplinary collaboration. Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic, as well as familiarity with pediatric-specific procedures and conditions, is highly valued.
*Duties*
* Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of pediatric patients to diagnose illnesses and monitor growth and development.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, immunizations, and health counseling.
* Coordinate care with specialists in areas such as neonatology, pediatric critical & intensive care, family medicine, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), orthopedics, and behavioral health.
* Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations using our EMR system Athena.
* Provide patient education on health maintenance, nutrition, injury prevention, and family planning.
* Stay current with medical terminology updates, CPT coding standards for billing purposes, and emerging trends in pediatric medicine.
*Qualifications*
* Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.
* Valid medical license to practice in the state of employment.
* Strong understanding of medical coding (ICD/CPT) for billing purposes.
* Excellent communication skills for effective patient service and family education.
* Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across outpatient clinics and hospital settings including Level I & II trauma centers or critical care units such as PICU or NICU.
