Criminal Defense Attorney

Portner & Shure is one of the leading criminal defense firms in Virginia. We are seeking a leading associate attorney to handle criminal cases for our expanding Virginia Beach, Virginia practice. Must be able to work on multiple cases at different stages of the process.

*Responsibilities:*

* Represent clients in the General District Court / Circuit Court
* Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients

*Qualifications:*

* Experience in criminal defense
* Advise clients about their legal rights and options
* Conduct legal research and devise an effective strategy to defend the client(s) in court
* Gather evidence in support of the case
* Present evidence in court
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to build rapport with clients
* Speak Spanish a plus but not required

*Qualifications and Skills*

* Must be proficient with handling a high volumes of cases
* Must be an active member and in good standing with the Virginia bar
* Must have a proven ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
* Must have excellent attention to detail and stellar organization skills

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation range begins at *$100,000* depending on experience and qualifications.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
