Expected Hours: 16 – 32 hours per week
Job Description:
Garner Dental Group is seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our well-established team. This position offers flexibility with 2-4 days of work per week, providing a great work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing
* Conduct patient assessments, including oral health screenings and reviewing medical history
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
* Administer local anesthesia as required
* Take and interpret dental x-rays and other diagnostic procedures
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including treatment plans and progress notes
* Follow strict infection control protocols and adhere to HIPAA regulations
* Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care
* Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene and participate in professional development opportunities
Requirements:
* Valid IA Dental Hygiene license (required)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Good computer skills and attention to detail
* Experience preferred, but not required
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Knowledge of dental coding for billing and insurance purposes
* Familiarity with dental imaging systems and diagnostic procedures
