Join a team that designs, develops, and integrates advanced APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) control systems for Honeywell Aerospace. You will be a key technical leader ensuring the successful definition, decomposition, validation, and verification of system requirements across the full product lifecycle. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver highintegrity solutions for gas turbine engine applications.
As the Lead Systems Engineer, you will guide a small team responsible for the requirementsbased engineering of APU control system functions and components. While providing direction and technical oversight, you will also contribute handson to requirements generation, system architecture, interface definition, and V&V activities.
You will work across the APU Control Systems organization—part of the Engines & Power Systems business—to support program execution, ensure technical rigor, and meet key customer and business milestones.

- Ensure completeness, traceability, and compliance of system requirements across all lifecycle phases
- Lead system architecture discussions, functional decomposition, interface definition, and requirements allocation
- Apply environmental qualification requirements (DO160, MILSTD810, MILSTD461) to APU control systems, including identifying gaps between current capability and requirement intent, and determining closure strategies such as similarity, analysis, or targeted testing
Requirements Based Engineering
- Develop, decompose, and manage system and subsystem requirements for APU control systems
- Oversee and participate in validation and verification planning, execution, and documentation
- Review and approve requirements, test plans, test procedures, and V&V evidence
Integration & Technical Coordination
