Job Description

*Overview*
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Interventional Cardiologist to join our esteemed medical team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterization and vascular interventional radiography. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver advanced cardiovascular care within a dynamic healthcare environment, utilizing cutting-edge technology and innovative treatment approaches. The Interventional Cardiologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating complex heart conditions, performing interventional procedures, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

*Responsibilities*

* Perform diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterizations, including angioplasty and stent placement, to treat coronary artery disease and other vascular conditions.
* Perform structural heart interventions for structural heart disease.
* Utilize advanced imaging techniques such as medical imaging, CT scans, and diagnostic radiology to assess patient cardiovascular health accurately.
* Manage preoperative assessments and perioperative care for patients undergoing interventional procedures, ensuring comprehensive patient preparation and safety.
* Conduct follow-up evaluations post-procedure to monitor patient recovery and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including radiologists, nurses, and primary care providers to develop individualized treatment strategies.
* Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or EMR systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Stay current with advancements in interventional cardiology techniques, participate in clinical research initiatives, and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts.

*Requirements*

* Medical degree from an accredited institution with board certification in cardiology; subspecialty training in interventional cardiology is highly preferred.
* Valid medical license to practice within the relevant jurisdiction.
* Proven experience performing cardiac catheterization, vascular interventional radiography, and related minimally invasive procedures.
* Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation methods specific to cardiology.
* Familiarity with hospital-based settings including inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and Level I trauma center environments.
* Proficiency with EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms; experience with medical imaging software is desirable.
* Excellent clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
