Job Description
*Job Summary*
We are seeking skilled *CDL Towing Operator(s)* to join our team. The ideal candidate(s) will be responsible for safely operating tow trucks and flatbed vehicles to assist customers with vehicle recoveries and transportation. This role requires a strong mechanical background, excellent driving skills, and exceptional customer service abilities. The *CDL Towing Operator(s)* plays a vital role in ensuring efficient, safe, and professional towing services while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations.
*Responsibilities*
* Operate tow trucks, including flatbeds and other specialized equipment, to recover and transport trucks and various vehicles
* Load and unload vehicles securely using appropriate tie-downs and safety procedures
* Perform basic automotive and mechanical assessments to determine the best course of action to tow safely and efficiently.
* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on towing equipment to ensure optimal performance
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during roadside assistance or recovery operations
* Manage conflict situations professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining safety standards
* Utilize automotive repair knowledge to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues on the spot
* Safely operate forklifts or other machinery as needed for loading or unloading equipment
* Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during operations to ensure safety for team members and the public
*Skills*
* Valid CDL license with a clean driving record and experience in commercial driving
* Strong mechanical knowledge, including automotive diagnostics and repair experience
* Proficiency in operating tow trucks, flatbeds, and forklift equipment
* Experience with accident recovery and vehicle load securing techniques
* Excellent driving skills with the ability to handle large vehicles under various conditions
* Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety standards
* Conflict management skills to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
* Exceptional customer service skills to assist clients courteously during stressful situations
* Mechanical experience or mechanic background is highly desirable for troubleshooting issues quickly
