What You'll Do🩺 Deliver Exceptional Patient Care- Complete patient evaluations within 24 hours (or one business day) of referral
- Develop and implement individualized, goal-driven treatment plans
- Provide hands-on therapy aligned with physician directives
- Monitor progress and adjust care to maximize outcomes
- Prepare patients and families for safe, confident discharge
👥 Lead & Collaborate- Supervise and mentor Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), aides, and students
- Partner with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
- Participate in care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings
- Provide in-service training and support to staff
🧠 Drive Clinical Excellence- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in accordance with state practice acts and payer guidelines
- Facilitate caregiver education and maintenance programs
- Recommend and coordinate durable medical equipment (braces, walkers, canes, adaptive devices, etc.)
- Ensure therapy equipment remains safe and operational
What You BringEducation & Credentials- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (Master's or Doctorate preferred)
- Active Ohio Occupational Therapist license in good standing
- Commitment to ongoing continuing education
Skills & Strengths- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving ability
- Ability to interpret and apply clinical, regulatory, and policy guidelines
- Excellent communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (Casamba, PointClickCare, or similar systems)
- A positive, team-focused mindset
Physical & Work EnvironmentThis role is active and hands-on. You'll frequently stand, walk, reach, push/pull, and assist patients with mobility. The environment is professional, collaborative, and patient-focused, with reasonable accommodations available as needed.
