Job Description
The selected candidate will serve as a Technical Pilot in the Flight Technical Services group within the Global Technical Operations organization of Honeywell Aerospace. This position will be assigned to multiple avionics platforms as the pilot focal, supporting both development of pilot training/reference material and in-service operations, and will also directly support the Honeywell Aerospace RNP navigation services business.
You will report directly to our Senior Manager, Flight Technical Services and will preferably work from our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical/operational support and training to pilots/operators, aircraft OEMs and internal employees
• Direct Technical Writers in production of Pilot training/reference material
• Present at operator conferences and industry events, serving as the subject matter expert/pilot expert on Honeywell avionics
• Publish technical articles and blogs
• Provide train-the-trainer sessions to training facilities
• Work directly with the FAA and customers to acquire approval for RNP AR
• Participate in the development, evaluation, and charting of Honeywell-developed special flight procedures to support Honeywell Navigation Services business
• Work with Sales to maximize revenue in developing and promoting new database products
Qualifications
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
MUST HAVE:
• Part 135 and/or 121 flight operations experience; or Part 91 in Honeywell-equipped aircraft
• Bachelors degree required. Technical degree preferred
• Exceptional computer literacy with a focus on process automation and use of AI
• Strong technical writing and presentations skills
• Ability to consistently produce against project timelines/schedule requirements
• FAA (ATP), CAA or EASA (ATPL)
