Honeywell Aerospace Flight Systems department is looking for an experienced Senior Advanced Project Engineer to manage a program for the next-generation Automatic Flight Controls Systems (AFCS) in its leading-edge avionics suites.

Join a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex avionics systems, to work on Automatic Flight Controls Systems for Business, Regional, and General Aviation platforms, from fixed-wing aircraft, to helicopter, and to future UAM/UAS, within the most advanced integrated flight deck Honeywell Anthem. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will be involved in every aspect of managing a system development lifecycle, from the front end of business development through product end of life.

As a Senior Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will lead a team of engineers, ensuring successful project execution and high-quality solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet engineering support requirements. You will report directly to our Senior Engineer Program Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix location on a Hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Engineer executing across multiple Business, Regional, and General Aviation programs for Anthem and Epic brands.
  • Generation of plans and estimates, including costs, schedules, resources, risks and opportunities, load contents, milestones, and scope management.
  • Program executions to facilitate and control cost, milestone, resource, and technical contents.
  • Collaboration with global integrated team members.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional and cross-department stakeholders.
  • General systems engineering knowledge of requirement analysis, requirement decomposition, systems design and architecture, and systems validation & verification.
  • Customer interaction.
  • Regulation compliance.


Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 6 years of experience working program or project management of flight controls, servos, or other avionics engineering programs.

  • Past or current experience with all aspects of automatic flight controls systems.
  • General knowledge of servos and related engineering programs.
  • General avionics experience and knowledge.
  • Knowledge of the systems or software developmental lifecycle.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt as dictated by program needs
  • Effective communication skills.
