D&G is seeking a Non-Destructive Inspector (NDI), Evaluator and Tester to provide Level II NDI support services to the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) under the Technical Support Services (TSS) contract. ALC provides logistics and depot maintenance support to all USCG aviation assets, including the C-27J Spartan, HC-144 Ocean Sentry, C-130 H/J Hercules, MH-60T Jayhawk, and MH-65D/E Dolphin.

This role directly supports depot-level maintenance, manufacturing quality, and airworthiness efforts by applying certified NDI methods to aircraft structures and components.

What You Will Do
Serve as a Level II NDI Inspector on repaired, overhauled, reworked, manufactured, and investigative aircraft and aircraft-related components.
Evaluate NDI parameters and recommend changes to existing and new processes.
Recommend procedures and techniques used to locate and identify anomalies in metallic and non-metallic aircraft structures and components.
Apply NDI and evaluation techniques to assess manufacturing and repair processes across USCG aviation assets.
Support the USCG airworthiness program by ensuring manufacturing and quality processes result in airworthy components and structures.
Provide NDI technical expertise in failure analysis, root cause analysis, and mishap investigations.

What We Are Looking For

Required
Minimum of 4 years of aviation NDI experience.
Previously qualified or certified as a Level II (or equivalent) under a DoD Aviation NDI Program, NAS 410 program, or equivalent NDI program.
Must be certifiable to Level II in accordance with NAS410 in the following methods:
- Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT)
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT)
- Eddy Current Testing (ET)
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
Meet minimum training and experience requirements for each method per NAS410.
Knowledge of aircraft structures, components, assemblies, and metallic and non-metallic materials.
Knowledge of metallic manufacturing processes.
Ability to reach technically accurate conclusions and provide defensible recommendations based on findings.
Ability to meet physical requirements including walking, standing, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing aircraft structures, and handling objects up to 50 pounds.

Preferred
Experience supporting depot-level aviation maintenance environments.
Experience supporting failure investigations and root cause analysis efforts.
Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Eligibility Requirements
Ability to pass an annual physical eye examination in accordance with NAS410.
Ability to distinguish and differentiate colors used in NDI processes in accordance with NAS410.
Ability to pass a Public Trust background investigation.

On site at the U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.

Pay Range: $70,000 - $79,000 per year
