Job Summary: Electronics Specialist is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and technical support of process instrumentation and control systems throughout the manufacturing and testing of night vision products.
Job Responsibilities: - Good mechanical and strong electrical aptitude, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly required by a diverse and extensive amount of electronic control systems within the facility.
- Knowledgeable of a wide array of industrial technologies, including electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum technology, and control systems.
- Able to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical manuals
- PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting
- Industrial computer and various ISA/PCI bus troubleshooting and repair
- Troubleshoot to the component level for the full spectrum of analog, digital, RF, optical, and industrial control systems. Must be able to make component-level repairs to address non-operational control systems.
- Utilize test equipment (DVM, Oscilloscopes, Frequency Generator, computer-based, etc.) appropriate to testing objective.
- Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills for manufacturing, product quality assurance, and facilities equipment systems
- Perform complete electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance services
- Monitor inventory of equipment spare parts; be able to effectively locate replacement parts from a variety of web-based sources.
- Experience using various hand and power tools, multi-meters, leak detectors, electronic or computerized test systems, etc.
Qualifications: Required: - Associate's degree or its equivalent in troubleshooting electronic equipment.
- Thorough knowledge of electronic circuitry, schematics, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
Preferred: - Experience with industrial automation, PLC programming, and temperature controls.
- Two (2) years of industrial electronics background.
- Proficiency in soldering
