As a Procurement Buyer II here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in our organization's procurement and purchasing activities. You will be accountable for managing and executing procurement projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function.
You will report directly to our Sr Strategic Sourcing Manager, and you will work out of our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. For new hires to Honeywell, you will start onsite for the first 90 days before transitioning to a hybrid schedule. Current Honeywell employees will work a hybrid schedule.
In this role, you will impact the company by optimizing procurement practices, enhancing profitability, and securing a reliable and agile supply chain.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop and execute procurement strategies to achieve cost-effectiveness and quality
- Manage procurement projects from initiation to completion, including supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management
- Monitor and control procurement costs, seek cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation
- Foster and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with US government regulations, standards, and internal policies
- Leverage technology solutions to enhance procurement processes and reporting
Travel, up to 10%, may be expected. Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE:- 3 plus years of experience in procurement, project management or supply chain
- 1 plus years of experience in SAP or MRP systems
- Ability to write, read and speak English
