As a Lead Systems Engineer - Next Gen Avionics at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance in the design, development, and implementation of complex systems, ensuring their functionality, reliability, and integration to meet customer requirements.Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Serve as Anthem Core Customer Technical Lead, coordinating and collaborating with a customer team to ensure design and requirement alignment
- Influence and shape technology roadmaps, architectural evolution, and long-term product strategy
- Mentor and coach senior engineers, serving as a multiplier for systems engineering excellence
Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM discipline
- 10+ years of systems engineering experience within complex, safety-critical systems (aerospace preferred)
WE VALUE- Comprehensive experience with avionics systems, integrated flight decks, or complex embedded systems
- Ownership of platform or system-of-systems design, architectures and development lifecycles
- High proficiency of regulatory and certification compliance (e.g., DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754)
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance near-term program execution and long-term architecture
