Job Description
As a Sr. Advanced Cyb Sec Archt/Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and advancing cutting-edge cybersecurity architectures and solutions that protect our aerospace technologies and critical digital assets.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Clearwater, FL location on a hybrid work schedule. Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.
In this role, you will impact the security posture of Honeywell Aerospace by developing innovative cybersecurity strategies and engineering solutions that safeguard our products and services, ensuring the resilience and integrity of our systems in a highly dynamic threat landscape.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and develop advanced cybersecurity architectures tailored to aerospace systems and technologies.
• Provide leadership to junior engineers, especially as it pertains to cyber processes, customer interaction, and estimation of workload on bids and proposals.
• Review and align compliance with requirements that are key to proposal development and legal application.
• Implement security engineering best practices to protect critical infrastructure and digital assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security solutions into product development and operational processes.
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analysis to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity trends, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance security frameworks.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in cyber engineering, systems engineering, or lead cyber role
• Extensive experience in cybersecurity architecture and engineering, specifically within advanced threat environments
• Strong understanding of DoD cyber obligations and design standards, including DFARS 252.204-7012, NIST SP 800-53, and NIST SP 800-171
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, threat modeling, and risk management methodologies
• Excellent communication and ability to convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders
• Hands-on experience with aerospace or similarly regulated industries' security requirements and compliance standards
• US Citizenship and a current DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one

• Solid understanding of the proposal and pursuit process including development of compliance matrices
