Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective treatment plans in coordination with referring physicians.
- Provide direct therapy services according to the approved plan of care.
- Train and support Restorative Aides within the nursing department.
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) in patient care and documentation in line with state practice guidelines.
- Collaborate with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
- Participate in care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, and recertifications according to regulatory standards.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs and discharge planning to promote continued independence.
- Recommend and coordinate the use of durable medical equipment (DME) to support safe mobility and function (e.g., braces, walkers, grab bars).
- Promptly report equipment issues to ensure a safe and functional work environment.
Qualifications:- Licensure: Valid Occupational Therapist License (State of California)
