POSITION SUMMARY: As a Parking Events Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while representing USF Parking & Transportation Services. The assistant will work as part of the Parking Events Team to ensure the smooth execution of event requests on USF campus that require parking services. This role involves setting up and removing event-related equipment, monitoring parking lots and garages, providing directions, and maintaining the overall parking experience for event attendees. This position also involves assisting with the maintenance and cleaning of the event signage and equipment.
Parking Events Assistants will perform duties as lot attendants and interact with visitors and customers to provide information while maintaining control of parking expectations for the event. The work environment includes, but is not limited to, working in all weather conditions, standing, walking, bending, lifting 50 pounds or more, and communicating via two-way radio. Driving university vehicles, including golf carts, is a necessary part of the job.

Minimum Qualifications: - This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be currently enrolled as a USF student in good standing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Three or more years of customer service experience.
- Previous experience working in operations and/or events.
SPECIAL SKILLS/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: - A valid driver's license is required to operate motorized vehicles of any kind.

- Follow the directions of the PATS Event Coordinator and the assigned event request set up documents, and effectively communicate with the appropriate Events associates.
- Prepare surface lots and garages for various events, which includes placing, repositioning, and removing signs, barricades, and/or cones to facilitate the opening and closing of parking lots and garages.
- Serve as a lot attendant by controlling access to parking lots and garages while safely and efficiently maintaining the flow of traffic.
- Promptly inform management of equipment issues, traffic congestion, guest concerns, safety, or any situations that might negatively impact the customers' experience.
- Assist with basic data entry. Create work orders and setups for events.
- Ability to work outdoors, stand for 2-hours, and adaptable to all weather conditions.
- Assist with research efforts related to new event equipment and technology.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
