*Duties*
* Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease.
* Conduct patient assessments by evaluating vital signs, oral health status, and medical history to inform treatment plans.
* Utilize dental terminology accurately to document procedures, findings, and patient instructions within EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix.
* Assist with patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
* Support general dentistry procedures by preparing patients and assisting the dentist during examinations and treatments.
* Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and medical records.
* Collaborate with dental reception staff to schedule appointments, update medical documentation, and ensure smooth clinic operations.
* Keep up-to-date with advancements in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties to provide informed care.
*Qualifications*
* Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state requirements.
* Proven experience in dental office settings, including familiarity with dental assisting duties and dental clinic workflows.
* Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms for managing medical records and documentation.
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices.
* Experience working within pediatric dentistry or general dentistry environments is preferred.
* Ability to accurately measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse rate, and temperature.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about oral health topics.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
