Under the direction of Pharmacy Manager, coordinates all inventory management efforts for assigned department(s) including coordination of and team lead responsibility for Specialty Pharmacy Liaison functions. This includes but is not limited to using hand held devices to inventory supply areas, stocking medication and supply orders, maintaining the supply areas in a neat and orderly fashion, identifying and processing emergency supply orders as needed, participate in teams to review and make changes to pars, perform all necessary receiving functions for dispensing, and generally act as an advocate in all areas of inventory management. This includes the inventory, receipt, stocking and processing of all pharmaceuticals and ancillary pharmacy materials. Maintains inventory records of supplies on hand, ordered, and received. Must work as part of a team that includes management, dispensing staff pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and shipping associates. Must work closely with procurement team for any inventory discrepancies or additional needs.

EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree is desirable. Successful completion of an academic or military hospital pharmacy technician training course preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Three to five (3-5) years of pharmacy technician experience required. One (1) year inventory control experience required
LICENSURE
Active Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification or equivalent AND active Connecticut Pharmacy Technician Registration without restrictions required.

PHYSICAL DEMAND
This position involves significant physical activity and manual labor as part of the daily responsibilities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and/or hear. The employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the day. The employee needs to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and occasionally crawl to access inventory in various storage locations. They will be required to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to thirty pounds, and occasionally move heavier items with assistance or approved equipment. They will need to use their hands and arms regularly to reach, handle, and operate tools, equipment, or materials required for inventory management. They will need to demonstrate sufficient visual ability to perform essential job tasks, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus for reading labels, monitoring inventory systems, and navigating storage areas safely.
