Job Description
*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care to our patients.
*Duties*
* Functions independently within the scope of the PTA Practice Act.
* Maintains and consistently demonstrates competency in all areas of assigned client care needs and seeks out additional information, in-service or other educational opportunities to remain competent and current in practice.
* Appropriately carries out treatment as directed by supervising PT.
* Documents patient progress according to approved medical documentation and facility documentation procedures to best describe client progress toward established goals.
* Additional responsibilities as assigned.
*Qualifications*
* Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting
* Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology is essential.
* Familiarity with physical therapy techniques and modalities is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care while adhering to ethical standards in practice.
