Sr Trade Compliance Analyst

As a Sr Trade Compliance Analyst here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our global trade operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations. You will analyze regulatory requirements, support trade compliance programs, and provide expert guidance to mitigate risks associated with international trade activities.

You will report directly to our Director of Trade Compliance, and you’ll work out of our Clearwater, FL location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact Honeywell’s ability to operate efficiently and legally in global markets by ensuring adherence to trade regulations, auditing compliance programs, and training functional groups on various trade compliance topics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze and interpret international trade regulations to ensure company compliance with import/export laws.
  • Support the development and implementation of trade compliance procedures and standard work.
  • Assist with Tableau and Power BI Dashboard development and reviews.
  • Manage US Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Account.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits related to trade compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, legal, and finance to resolve compliance matters and business-driven initiatives.
  • Develop trade compliance training content and conduct ad-hoc sessions, when necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement trade compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to import and export regulations
  • Manage and oversee import and export documentation, including classification, licensing, and customs documentation
  • Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters, including training and awareness programs
  • Stay updated with changes in trade regulations and communicate the impact to the organization, ensuring compliance with new requirements
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to resolve trade compliance issues and mitigate risks


Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Experience in managing trade compliance or regulatory affairs with a strong understanding of international trade laws and regulations.
  • Expertise in analyzing regulatory requirements and supporting compliance program implementation.
  • Proficiency in trade compliance software and tools used for monitoring and reporting compliance activities.
  • Experience in developing training materials.

WE VALUE
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Law, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in trade compliance, regulatory affairs, or related roles.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and provide actionable guidance to the business via written documentation and verbal presentations.
  • Experience working with global teams and managing cross-functional compliance initiatives.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
