Sterile Processing Technician – Per Diem (Variable Shift)

Location: Anacortes, WA
Schedule: 0.1 FTE / Per Diem | Monday–Friday | Variable Shifts with On-Call Coverage
Salary Range: $21.30 – $31.64 / per hour

Differentials:

  • Nights – $2.25 per hour

  • Evenings – $1.65 per hour

  • Weekends – $1.50 per hour

What You’ll Do

  • Decontaminate, clean, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays

  • Operate autoclaves, washer-sterilizers, and related equipment

  • Maintain daily sterilization records and quality controls

  • Restock and manage instrument inventory for continuous patient care

  • Support clinical teams during urgent or emergency needs

  • Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques, infection-prevention standards, and hospital policy

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

  • Formal or on-the-job training as a Central Service or Sterile Processing Technician (30 days – 3 months)

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in a clinical environment
