FAA Test Technician - Level 2 (2nd shift)

Job Description

As a Test Technician Level 2 here at Honeywell Engines, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the test quality and functionality of all aircraft engines are met. You will be responsible for conducting tests, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical feedback to any of the 3 major departments (OEMM, Overhaul or Development). Your attention to detail and expertise in testing procedures will contribute to the overall success of our operations.

You will report directly to our Test Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a 2nd shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute test plans and procedures to ensure product functionality and performance
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues identified during testing
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Maintain accurate documentation of test procedures, results, and any issues encountered
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment


Qualifications
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct tests on OEM / Overhaul / Development engines to ensure functionality and quality.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support to the 3 major departments.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and provide reports as needed.
  • Keep up with the cleanliness and maintenance of the test cells.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 1+ years of experience in testing Aircraft APU or Propulsion engines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive mechanical background

WE VALUE
  • Military or Civilian experience in the aviation field
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Associate's degree in a technical field
  • Experience with testing equipment and tools
  • Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures

FAA REQUIREMENTS

All applicants for placement in DOT/FAA safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test, testing for Marijuana, Cocaine, Amphetamines (amphetamine, methamphetamine, MDMA, MDA), Phencyclidine (PCP), and Opioids (codeine, heroin, morphine, oxycodone, oxymorphone, hydrocodone, hydromorphone).
