Position Summary
Establish, coordinate and administer the solicitation and acquisition of corporate, community and school material donations. Responsible for the management of the Attended Donation Centers (ADCs). Acts as an ambassador to the community on behalf of our organization.
Essential Duties(Other duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.)
1. Initiates, coordinates, and manages relationships with corporate partners, schools, universities, and community organizations to increase material donations. Conducts market and location research to identify and secure real estate opportunities for donation box placement. Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
2. Supervises the ADC managers in the planning, management and execution of donation events while achieving targeted donation goals, controlling costs and operating within budget. Leads the ADC managers' collaboration with the transportation department to resolve logistical issues and manage labor needs. Reports on return on investment (ROI), community engagement metrics and overall event performance. Prepares data-driven presentations for stakeholders and senior leadership providing actionable recommendations.
3. Acts as a liaison between the organization and community/business donors, representing Goodwill's mission and impact. Coordinates with marketing to ensure donation drives are effectively promoted. Conducts site visits and ongoing follow-up with donor contact.
4. Maintains and maintains accurate records of donations and their estimated value, including a comprehensive donor database. Ensure ADC managers consistently communicate to and follow-up with current and potential donors to foster long-term relationships. Identifies new opportunities for fundraising and donation acquisition.
5. Partners with the Director of e-Commerce to identify high-value or in-demand donated goods for online sales. Helps align donation acquisition efforts with e-Commerce sales strategy.
6. Works closely with the Marketing Department to produce promotional materials and messaging to support donor engagement and outreach campaigns. Promotes Goodwill programs and services through external presentations and community engagements.
7. Educates internal team members about the donation acquisition process and encourages cross-departmental sharing of donor leads. Supports the agency's sustainability and revenue goals through effective donor and partner engagement.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The associate in this position has supervisory responsibility for designated associates in their department.
Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance
• High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in business management or related field preferred.
• 3 Years' experience in a related field required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• Valid state driver's license, insurance and satisfactory driving record are required.
• Associates in this position will be required to successfully pass both state and federal criminal background checks and sex offender check.
• Ability to operate PC, proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
?Experience in event planning/solicitation is required?. ?Donor relationship genertion experience through initial client contact?? is a plus.?? ???Must be able to work with minimal direct supervision. Occasional weekend work, and work during non-traditional business hours may be required. ??
