Dispatch Supervisor

Job Description

The Supervisor, Dispatch, provides leadership and support to the dispatch center as well as supports operational needs as communicated by the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities:
  • 1. Dispatch
    • 1.1 Supervisor daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely and efficient dispatch resources. Monitor and manage the dispatch center performance to ensure adherence to protocols and responses. Produce and maintain reports and dashboards utilizing clarity for real time monitoring Maintain and update resource templates to reflect changing daily needs. Investigates issues by proficiently utilizing CAD software (currently Logis IDS) and prepares recommendations based on findings. Mastery level understanding of CAD (currently Logis IDS) to support day-to-day dispatch operations and make the most effective decisions to support both the dispatchers and the operation. Collaborate with the Call Taking and Billing teams to ensure smooth flow of calls through the system. Provide troubleshooting for Logis IDS and MDT tablets. Must have the ability to function as the primary dispatcher should the need arise. Function as the primary trainer for new hires. Operational understanding and basic proficiency of the following software platforms: ESO, Logis Billing, Nexgen & StatCall.
  • 2. Scheduling
    • 2.1 Maintain the schedule for direct reports and ensure staff maintain relevant certifications. Function as the back up to the primary scheduler (Admin Assistant).
Qualifications:

EDUCATION

 

High school diploma or equivalent required.

 

EXPERIENCE

 

Two (2) years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience desired. Previous healthcare work, supervision, and familiarity/proficiency of Logis IDS and ESO are desirable.

 

LICENSURE

 

Must maintain Connecticut EMT license, current CPR card, EMD certification, valid Driver 's License, and driving record in compliance with Company policy regarding insurability. Holds and maintains motor vehicle operator 's license in the state of legal residence. Free of any criminal history.

 

SPECIAL SKILLS

 

Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively represent the Company when communicating to clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs. Demonstrates mature and confident mannerisms necessary for reassuring patients and clients. Knowledge of primary streets/routes in the service area, some familiarity with medical facilities.
