Cissell Mueller Construction, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Senior Superintendent to lead and oversee complex commercial construction projects throughout the Houston, TX market. This senior-level role is responsible for managing all on-site operations, mentoring field leadership, coordinating multiple subcontractor trades, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
As a Senior Superintendent, you will serve as the primary on-site authority, working closely with Project Managers, owners, inspectors, and subcontractors while providing leadership across all construction disciplines. This role is ideal for a seasoned commercial construction professional ready to take ownership of larger, more complex projects and drive consistent project success.

Provide overall leadership and direction for commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Serve as the senior on-site representative, coordinating daily field operations and subcontractor activities
Lead, mentor, and support Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and field staff
Develop, maintain, and enforce detailed project schedules, identifying critical path activities and milestones
Coordinate all construction disciplines including civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and roofing scopes
Manage subcontractor performance, including scheduling, sequencing, quality control, and conflict resolution
Oversee site logistics, material deliveries, staging, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency
Enforce company quality standards through regular inspections and proactive issue resolution
Partner with Project Managers on budget awareness, cost controls, and change order coordination
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure accurate execution
Lead jobsite safety efforts including toolbox talks, safety meetings, and OSHA compliance
Communicate professionally with owners, inspectors, architects, and internal leadership
Proactively identify risks, solve complex field challenges, and drive solutions-oriented outcomes
5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent
Proven ability to lead large, multi-trade commercial construction jobs
Strong background in civil site work and full ground-up construction
Experience managing fuel-related construction and restaurant projects is highly preferred
Ability to manage subcontractor negotiations, change orders, and scope coordination
Strong understanding of construction schedules, sequencing, and logistics
Expert ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
OSHA 30 certification preferred (training available if needed)
Bilingual capabilities are a plus
Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skillsverbal, written, and electronic
Strong business and financial awareness related to construction operations
Self-motivated leader capable of driving performance without direct supervision
Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
