Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mid-Level Family Law Attorney to join our reputable law firm located in Tacoma. The ideal candidate will be comfortable representing clients in court hearings, possess strong research and writing skills to draft motions and briefs, and demonstrate a passion for providing exceptional legal representation in family law matters.

The firm also focuses on developing technology products and tools to support individuals seeking family law assistance at a do-it-yourself (DIY) level. We encourage candidates who are enthusiastic about contributing to both traditional legal practice and innovative approaches to apply.

Responsibilities:

* Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings related to family law matters such as divorce, child custody, spousal support, and domestic violence.
* Conduct legal research to analyze case law, statutes, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to client matters.
* Prepare legal documents including motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery requests.
* Collaborate with clients to understand their legal objectives, provide legal advice, and develop effective strategies.
* Negotiate settlements and mediate disputes on behalf of clients, striving for fair and favorable outcomes.
* Maintain strong communication with clients, keeping them informed of case developments, progress, and legal options.
* Stay up-to-date with changes in family law legislation and court procedures to ensure the delivery of accurate and effective legal services.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of technology products and tools aimed at providing DIY legal assistance in family law.
* Collaborate with the firm's team to create legal content, conduct webinars, or provide educational resources to support self-represented litigants.

Requirements:

* Active member in good standing of the Washington State Bar Association.
* 3-5 years of experience or demonstrable strong oral and written advocacy skills.
* Demonstrated experience drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Excellent research and analytical abilities.
* Comfortable working independently and managing a caseload effectively.
* Commitment to providing exceptional client service and maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
* Familiarity with technology and a willingness to embrace innovative approaches to legal practice.
* The ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with Tacoma's local court rules and procedures is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
