* Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
* Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories to ensure safe treatment plans.
* Assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and ensuring smooth workflow during treatments.
* Take medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures to promote long-term oral health.
* Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
* Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment for every patient.
*Skills*
* Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation review and medical coding.
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
* Skilled in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
* Ability to perform patient care tasks such as taking vital signs and assessing patient needs effectively.
* Knowledge of infection control standards, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques essential for safety.
