Responsibilities:
- Assist the physical therapist in providing patient care and implementing treatment plans
- Perform therapeutic exercises and activities under the guidance of the physical therapist
- Administer modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities
- Monitor and document patient progress and report to the physical therapist
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred
- Familiarity with occupational health practices and protocols
- Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques is a plus

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to follow instructions and treatment plans accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills to address patient needs and challenges during therapy sessions
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform therapeutic exercises and assist with patient transfers
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation of patient progress
